UPDATE: 04/13/2004 - This was a fun project. I used the existing POD model I created last year, worked up a new 1/12 scale Dave Bowman figure, and created a "monolith" out of black acrylic. For details on the pod construction, visit my Pod page. The Dave figure was incredible. Another masterpiece by "Captain Cardboard". Not a flaw in the kit. Very little cleanup needed, and it painted very nicely. The intention of the diorama was to give the impression capturing the end of the movie. The floor is a backlit white acrylic. It puts a nice glow on all three elements in the diorama. I'll be showing this diorama at this years "WONDERFEST" show in the Middle of May. Hope to see you there!
